Types of tote bags we produce

Six shapes account for the large majority of bulk tote bags orders. Each has a different cost structure, sampling time and defect profile, so knowing which one you want before you request a quote saves a round of revisions.

Canvas tote	Open-top shopper in cotton duck or canvas. The workhorse of the category — used for retail, gifting and promotional runs because it prints cleanly and folds flat for shipping.
Leather tote	Structured or slouchy, in full-grain, top-grain or split leather. Higher unit cost, longer lead time, but the style buyers reorder season after season.
Woven raffia tote	Hand-woven or machine-woven natural fibre. Seasonal peak in spring and summer; popular with resort and coastal retailers.
Foldable shopping tote	Lightweight nylon or polyester that packs into a pouch. Low unit cost, very high volume, common for supermarket and event programmes.
Laptop tote	Reinforced base and padded internal sleeve sized for 13in, 14in or 16in devices. Corporate and uniform buyers.
Beach and utility tote	Oversized open-mouth bag in mesh, jute or coated canvas, usually 40cm+ wide with long shoulder straps.

Material options and what each one does to your order

Material drives unit price, minimum quantity, sampling time and how the bag behaves after it reaches your customer. This is the decision that matters most on a tote bag programme.

Customisation options for tote bags

Branding, hardware and packaging are quoted as separate line items so you can see what each one costs:

• Logo application — embossing, debossing, screen print, heat transfer, laser engraving, metal plate, woven label or rubber patch, chosen to suit the material.
• Hardware — stock finishes or custom tooling with a Pantone reference; custom moulds are tooled for your programme and held for your repeat orders.
• Lining and interior — colour-matched or contrast, with slip pockets, zip pockets and key clips placed to your layout.
• Packaging — individual polybag, dust bag, printed box or hangtag, with FNSKU labelling for Amazon-bound orders.

Defects to check before you accept a shipment

Every bulk order is inspected to AQL 2.5 before dispatch, with photo and video proofing sent for your sign-off. These are the specific failure points we look hardest at on tote bags, because they are the ones that generate returns:

• Handle attachment — the single most common failure point. Stressed with 3x the intended load before sign-off.
• Seam slippage at the gusset corners, where the base panel takes the most strain.
• Print or embroidery registration drift across a large flat panel.
• Colour variation between the body fabric and the lining or trim.
• Interior pocket bags that sit loose instead of being tacked to the shell.
