The 6-Step Process

Typical timeline: sample 3–7 days + bulk 20–35 days + shipping 5–30 days.

01

Share Concept or Pick a Base

Send a reference photo, sketch, or spec — or choose from 143+ in-stock designs as your starting point. Include size, material, color, and logo intent.

02

Sample Development

Jinman builds a physical sample in 3–5 days (stock base) or 5–7 days (custom-logo). Material swatches and a digital mockup confirm direction before cutting bulk.

03

Approve & Finalize

You review the sample, request tweaks, and lock specs: material, hardware, logo method, Pantone colors, and packaging. A confirmed quote follows.

04

Bulk Production

Production runs 20–35 days by order size and complexity. You receive QC photos at cutting, sewing, and finishing stages so issues are caught early.

05

Quality Inspection

Inline and final AQL inspection against your standard. Optional third-party SGS/AZO heavy-metal tests available for EU/US compliance.

06

Global Shipping

Shipped FOB or DDP from Ningbo/Shanghai: 15–30 days by sea, 5–7 days by air, to 30+ countries. Documents and booking handled by Jinman.

What to Prepare Before Sampling

The more you provide, the faster and more accurate the first sample.

Reference

Photo, screenshot, or sketch of the bag shape and details you want.

Specs

Target size, material, color (Pantone if possible), and hardware preferences.

Branding

Logo file and placement; packaging needs (box, dust bag, hangtag) if any.

Custom Order FAQ

How does custom bag manufacturing work?

It follows six steps: (1) share your concept or pick a stock base, (2) Jinman develops a sample (3–7 days), (3) you approve and we finalize specs, (4) bulk production runs 20–35 days with QC photos, (5) quality inspection, (6) global shipping from Ningbo/Shanghai. MOQ is 100 pieces per custom style.

What do I need to provide to start a custom bag order?

At minimum: a reference photo or sketch, target size, preferred material, color, and logo/brand. The more detail you give, the faster and more accurate the sample. Jinman can also help with design and material selection if you only have a rough idea.

How long does the whole custom process take?

Sample: 3–5 days for stock-based custom, 5–7 days for fully custom-logo development. Bulk production: 20–35 days depending on complexity and quantity. Shipping adds 5–7 days by air or 15–30 days by sea. Plan roughly 4–8 weeks door-to-door.

Can I customize the logo and packaging?

Yes. Jinman offers custom logo via embossing, screen/digital print, metal plate, and woven label, plus Pantone color matching and private-label packaging (boxes, dust bags, hangtags). These are standard parts of the OEM/ODM service.

What is the MOQ for a custom bag line?

MOQ is 100 pieces per style for custom OEM/ODM. You can mix colors within the run (e.g., 100 pcs across 2–3 colors). In-stock designs can be ordered from 1 piece with your logo added.

Stage-by-stage: deliverables and your decision points

A custom programme has gates, and knowing what arrives at each gate - and what you need to approve - removes most of the anxiety around overseas production.

The PP sample is the most important document in the process

The signed pre-production sample is the reference standard for the entire run. Everything the inspector checks - dimensions, stitch density, hardware finish, colour, lining alignment - is measured against that sample, not against your original photo or email. This is why we insist on sign-off before cutting: after that point, changes become expensive because material has already been committed and the line scheduled.

What to check on your sample - beyond whether it looks nice

More questions answered

How many sample revisions are included?

As many as you need before the pre-production sample is signed off - that is the purpose of the stage. Once bulk cutting begins, changes become expensive, which is why the PP sample is the benchmark.

What exactly is a PP sample?

The pre-production sample made from actual bulk materials on the production line. It is the reference standard inspectors measure the whole run against, so signing it is the most important approval in the process.

Will I see progress during production?

Yes. We send photos at cutting, assembly and finishing stages, and a full AQL 2.5 inspection report with measurements and images before shipment is released.
